Two individuals arrested in Montreal after a joint investigation

On 2022-04-06, the Service de police de la ville de Montréal (SPVM) arrested Nicolas BÉRARDI and Grazioso BÉRARDI in Montréal. These arrests are the result of a joint investigation between the SPVM, the contraband division of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), and the integrated Nunavik Investigation Team (NIT), which includes investigators from the SQ and the Nunavik Police Service (NPS).

The search of the premises following the arrests led to the seizure of firearms, several types of narcotics, and a large quantity of alcohol, all destined for the illicit market in Nunavik. The investigation conducted over the past two years has shown that the two individuals were major suppliers of alcohol and drugs in Nunavik.

The two individuals appeared in court on 2022-04-06 and remained in custody, and several firearms charges were laid. Following the study of the investigation file that will be submitted to the Directeur des Poursuites Criminelles et Pénales (DPCP), additional charges could be laid against the two individuals.
