Cannabis Seizure in Inukjuak
On July 31 in Inukjuak, a joint operation between the KRPF and the Sûreté du Québec led to the seizure of 1,800 grams of cannabis, 300 grams of hashish and $5,460 in cash.
The total street value of the seizure is estimated at $92,460. Following the execution of the search warrant which led to the seizure, a suspect was arrested and is currently detained awaiting a further court appearance.
Some recent seizures of the KRPF:
- June 3, 2019: $43,000 in Cash and 2 Kilograms of Cannabis and Hashish
- April 3, 2019: 132 grams of cocaine
- February 6, 2019: Luggage containing a considerable amount of cocaine, cannabis and alcohol.
- November 23, 2018: $63,367 worth of money and alcohol
The KRPF reminds citizens that any information concerning suspicious activities, including the illegal sale of drugs and alcohol, can anonymously be disclosed to Crime Stoppers by dialing the following toll free number: 1-800-711-1800. Information received may qualify for a reward of up to $2,000.
